Programmes and Thematic Areas

Programs That Connect Dignity, Opportunity, and Lasting Change

WEEA’s programs address the connected needs of women and girls through menstrual health, education, economic empowerment, youth engagement, advocacy, and community participation.

Menstrual Health and Dignity

We promote menstrual health education and access to practical menstrual products. Our work seeks to reduce stigma, improve knowledge, support menstrual hygiene, and help women and girls manage menstruation with dignity.

Women’s Economic Empowerment

We advance approaches that strengthen women’s participation in economic and community life. Our work emphasizes opportunity, capacity, inclusion, and the importance of women having greater agency over their futures.

Girls’ Education and Youth Development

We support initiatives that help girls and young people access information, build confidence, develop skills, and participate in their communities. Menstrual health education and access to menstrual products are important parts of creating supportive environments for girls.

Community Engagement

We work with communities to raise awareness, share knowledge, encourage participation, and promote locally relevant solutions. Community engagement helps ensure that programs respond to people’s experiences and priorities.

Advocacy and Research

We engage in advocacy and knowledge-sharing to increase understanding of the barriers affecting women and girls. Our work supports greater attention to menstrual health, gender equality, and access to essential products and services.

Sustainable Menstrual Products

We promote reusable menstrual products and related solutions that offer practical options for menstrual management. Education, appropriate use, care, and access are central to making these solutions useful and sustainable.
